Ingredients
- 4 ounces of Bread Flour x 5
- 4 ounces of water x 5
Method
Step 1
Grab yourself a Kilner jar and mix 4 ounces of bread flour and 4 ounces of water together.
Step 2
Cover loosely with some cling film and leave to ferment.
Step 3
Repeat this step over 5 days, around the same time of day (you are feeding your starter, so mix in 4 ounces of bread flour and 4 ounces of water, every day for 5 days - this will create a natural yeast). Discard a little bit of your sourdough mixture every time you feed it, otherwise, you’ll end up with too much. You should end up with a lively and bubbling natural yeast - your own little jarred monster, which is ready to use.
