A year ago, I felt overweight and miserable. I hated how I looked and felt. I decided that I wasn’t going to feel like this on my 50th birthday. Within 3 months of reading It’s Not a Diet, I looked and felt better than I had in years. I could enjoy being 50.
A year later, I feel so much better and healthier than I did before. I’m not quite at the end of my journey yet and I’m still learning everyday - sometimes I slip, have ups and downs, but when I lose focus, I simply get back on it and quickly start to see and feel the benefits.
- I fast from 6pm till 12.00 the next day.
- I eat full fat foods
- I have WillPowders coffees each day - sometimes 2, sometimes 3
- I do 2 gym sessions every week, but I have found eating good fats really help me stick to this routine.
I have also found that supplementing with collagen has improved my skin, hair and nails and really supported me through my menopausal journey.
Anyone starting out should definitely join the FFS Facebook page - the group are fantastic and offer great advice. Be kind to yourself, change your habits slowly and do what suits you!
